[color= white]THAT IS GREAT "Open Society" *could* mean just about anything. So, do we mean something in particular? Is it more social freedom, free of the inhibitions that are imposed in our culture? Are we concerned by particular things - the warping imposed on our culture by commercialism? If our society at large is not as open as we would see fit for ourselves and our tribe (let's say); if there are constraints or conditions that oppose freedom or openness, which we would like to alter (whether peacefully or otherwise, that is beside the point) then what are those things? If things are not how we would like them to be, then what do we change or do, specifically? Perhaps there is a community we wish to start. Perhaps the way to start any of this in inwardly, and with the people we trust. And then see how far outwardly this change will go (without being corrupted or subverted in a negative manner. ) Edited by Marcus on Mar 15, 2007 7:12 AM |
